Meet Tiamesha Walker-Smith, Ed.D.

Dr. Tiamesha Walker-Smith (Dr. Ty) is an accomplished organizational development expert and leadership strategist with over two decades of experience in human resources, leadership development, and organizational change.  As the Executive Director of ATHENA of the Triangle, Tiamesha works to empower women leaders and foster strategic collaborations that drive community impact.  Her career includes senior leadership roles in human resources, where she led large-scale organizational initiatives, focusing on employee engagement, talent acquisition, and cultural competency.  Tiamesha is deeply committed to mentorship, professional development, and creating inclusive environments where individuals and organizations can thrive.

A passionate advocate for women's leadership, Tiamesha also holds a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership and actively contributes to several boards, including the Meredith College School of Business, Pretty, Pink & Purposed, Inc., and the Kraft Family YMCA.
